Hi all!!!
Sorry for this late post. This is our backpack trip review that we went last month. We went to Aonang, Krabi and Hadyai, both regions in Thailand! We went with our #MovieJunkies (we always watch premières with this junkies!), 6 of us, 3 females and 3 males. Only #BR is married.

Since October 2014, we had saved all RM5 we received. By end of February, we managed to collect up until RM1000 ! WOW!
With only budget of RM500 per person, we took train from KL - Hadyai with KTM Senandung Langkawi at 10 pm on Thursday and arrived at Hadyai around 1 pm the next day. Yeah, its time consuming, but our train tickets is for bunk beds, and we all never experience taking train to another country before. The train stopped at Padang Besar for Customs declaration, took a while there around 1 and half hour.

At Hadyai, we took tuk-tuk to the bus station and paid 200 baht per person for a van ride to Krabi. The van quite cramped up to fit 12 persons at back. :( but hey, this is backpack trip! Deal with it! Engine starts at 4 pm and stopped at Trang province for 15 minutes. We all mistakenly assumed it stopped for eating and resting, so we got our light lunch + dinner (lunner!? like brunch!? haha). Thankfully we finished eating quick and realized it was only a brief stop. Rushed to the van and continue our journey to Krabi.

We arrived at Krabi town at 9 pm. We quickly get into tuk-tuk and reach Aonang after 30 minutes ride. Yes, we are so freaking tired travelling whole day of Friday but once we arrived at Aonang, we only felt excitement! Blood rushing in once we saw Aonang beach in night time. We already booked our hostel at Agoda for a good 200 baht per night for a person. Never mind we already married, we willing to sleep separately by dorm (Male & Female dorms) with our friends as long as it saves money!
 |
| Our dorm for 2 nights. Walking distance to the beach, pharmacies, restaurants, shop lots, foot massages, and many more! |
We spent the night looking for local food (tom yam, seafood, coffee, etc) and most importantly looking for packages to spend time here at Krabi province. We got a good offer of 7 island hoping + BBQ for 600 baht per person. And package to Emerald Pool + Hot Stream for 400 baht per person. Yipee!! Friday well spend. We sleep soundly, I guess.

| Our morning walk at Aonang Beach! |
We started our Saturday morning with good old fashion breakfast at 8 am with our own food and coffee. We strolling around the shops and Aonang beach. Our Island Hoping started at 1 pm. We took the cheapest offer, and we get to sail away with long tail boat. There are speed boat and whatever, but we didn't give a damn about it because we are following our budget. It concludes 2x snorkelling at 2 islands. There was supposed to be a cliff jump, but the tide too high, wave too strong. Our friend quite disappointed because that was his highlight of the day. The boat setting on Tup Island for sunset and BBQ + Fire show by the boat helmsman. It is a ROMANTIC moment for #BR. I like it so much!
We got back to Aonang Beach around 8 pm. After we cleaned ourselves, we took time off to a foot massage. 200 baht well spent
*grinning*.

Sunday started as we we waiting for our tour guide to Emerald Pool. It is the final highlight for our trip! For those who didn't know, Emerald Pool AND Blue Pool is situated not far from each other. We reached Emerald Pool after walking about 800 meters. 600 meters further is the Blue Pool, the small yet mesmerizing natural blue-colored pool, but prohibited from any swimming / foot-dipping activity since the bottom is quicksand. But I think there is a few local and foreigners disobey the rules
*We can see them all wet when passing them by before reaching the Blue Pool*. Taking pictures, walking around while enjoying the blue colored pool, we head back to Emerald Pool. Now, this is the pool that are allowed to have fun with. It is all natural emerald-colored pool, but right now, it is full of people, locals and foreigners, fitting best for what its famous for.

We headed to Hadyai at around 4 pm. We stayed in this authentic yet scary looking motel located in town for 200 baht per person. Yes, it is that cheap and it make us remember all those Thai's scary movies. Yikes! We managed to clean ourselves before the big game of Liverpool VS Manchester United that night. We enjoyed the first half in the motel 'lobby' together with few fellows of the Devils. Then, we went out to the town to enjoy the scenery for second half.
*Yes, Liverpool down to 2-0 by that time, that is the main reason we don't mind missing the second half*. Hadyai town is marvellous! There are various of local food and shops opens that night and we truly enjoy each other's company.
Monday morning is blues enough for all Liverpool fans, we lost 1-2 to Manchester United. But for us, not blue enough as we keep our stomach full with all the Sticky Mangos
*one of Thai's delicacies* LOL.

| *sigh* |
We already bought our tickets at Stesen Pudu days before we started our journey. We were on our bus, Sri Maju, headed back to KL around 11 am and arrived at Stesen Pudu around 8 pm.
 |
| We waited for our bus to KL here at Hadyai Town. |
That' it! That's the wrapped of our first ever travelling together outside Malaysia! Currently planning for Indonesia.
*Stay with us!*
**please note we are not backpackers, we just taking the backpack concept into our trip so we can save money and simply travel.
